ABOUT
THE WHO AND WHY
From an early age, I began using the outlet of visual storytelling to find place and purpose. It gave me a means to capture, share, expose, and learn. It has gifted me the opportunity to explore portions of the world, new environments, ecosystems, and cultures. I am beyond grateful for what it has shown me.
I was fortunate enough to grow up with a backyard composed of vast wildnesses, national parks, and an abundance of flora and fauna. Though not instilled by force, I constantly sought out the solidarity of the natural world and the ease it brought me. The systematic movement of nature always drew my eye.
In 2018, I began working on wildlife film productions as a camera assistant and operator for VISIONHAWK Films. Over that time I was trained as a technician/operator for the Shotover F1 Camera System. This learning opportunity allowed me to work on large-scale productions, meet passionate like-minded people, and granted me the privilege to explore the ecosystems of the world. I have traveled the Americas, following unique and isolated stories about the wildlife that we are fortunate enough to share this planet with.
As of late, I have transitioned to more human-centric story telling. Now, more than ever, we need to focus on OUR relationship and role on this earth. Worldly environmental change, at this point, is inevitable, and coexistence needs to be the frontrunner of our issues. The fate of this world, literally, is in the hands of mankind. *Queue existential explosion
So lets tell stories about it and make people care, see, realize, think, and act.
